These Terms & Conditions apply to cleaning services provided by CleanScape, including window cleaning, gutter cleaning, solar panel cleaning and commercial cleaning. By booking or accepting a CleanScape service, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Section 1Quotes and estimates
All quotations and estimates provided by CleanScape are based on the information available at the time of quoting.
Where a property or site cannot be properly assessed before work begins, the final price may differ if the condition, size, access or amount of work is substantially different from what was originally described.
Any additional work or significant change in price will be discussed with the customer before it is carried out wherever reasonably possible.
A quotation does not guarantee a particular cleaning result where the condition of the surface, access or other circumstances prevent this.
Section 2Booking and appointments
Appointments are arranged by agreement between CleanScape and the customer.
CleanScape will make reasonable efforts to attend at the agreed time or within the agreed appointment window.
Occasionally, appointments may need to be rearranged due to weather, safety concerns, vehicle problems, illness, emergencies or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Where an appointment needs to be rearranged, CleanScape will make reasonable efforts to offer an alternative date.
Section 3Regular window cleaning
Customers may choose to have regular window cleaning at an agreed frequency, such as every 4 or 8 weeks.
The agreed frequency is a target cleaning interval and not a guarantee that every visit will occur on the exact same day or at the exact same time.
CleanScape may adjust the schedule where necessary to maintain efficient local cleaning rounds.
Customers may request changes to their regular cleaning arrangements by contacting CleanScape.
Section 4Access to the property
Customers are responsible for providing reasonable and safe access to areas that need to be cleaned.
If access is unavailable or unsafe, CleanScape may be unable to complete the work and may need to rearrange the appointment.
Where a customer has specifically requested that work is carried out while they are not present, they are responsible for ensuring that appropriate access is available.
CleanScape will not be responsible for delays or incomplete work caused by the customer being unavailable or failing to provide reasonable access.
Section 5Water, electricity and facilities
Where a service requires access to an external water supply, electricity supply or other facilities, the customer must provide reasonable access where this has been agreed in advance.
CleanScape will take reasonable care when using customer facilities.
Section 6Window cleaning
CleanScape will take reasonable care when cleaning windows, frames, sills and other agreed areas.
Customers should inform CleanScape before work begins of any known defects, damage, loose fittings, cracked glass, damaged seals, faulty windows or other issues that could affect cleaning.
CleanScape may refuse to clean a window or area where doing so would present an unreasonable safety risk or where the condition of the item means cleaning could cause or worsen damage.
Water-fed pole cleaning may leave temporary spotting or marks where existing contamination, damaged glass, failed seals, building materials or other conditions affect the result.
CleanScape cannot guarantee the removal of permanent staining, paint, cement, hard-water marks, oxidation or other contaminants unless specifically quoted for as an additional service.
Section 7Gutter cleaning
Gutter cleaning prices are based on the information available about the property, access and condition of the gutters.
CleanScape will take reasonable care when carrying out gutter cleaning.
Gutters, fascia boards, soffits, downpipes and associated components can deteriorate over time. Customers should inform CleanScape of any known damage or weakness.
CleanScape will not be responsible for damage caused by pre-existing defects, deterioration, poor installation or materials that fail during normal cleaning due to their existing condition.
Where gutters or associated components are found to be unsafe or excessively damaged, CleanScape may decline to carry out the work.
Gutter cleaning does not guarantee that gutters will remain clear for any particular period following the service.
Section 8Solar panel cleaning
CleanScape will take reasonable care when cleaning solar panels.
Customers should inform CleanScape of any known damage, cracks, faults, loose panels or other issues before cleaning.
CleanScape may decline to clean panels where access or the condition of the installation creates an unreasonable safety risk.
Solar panel cleaning does not include electrical inspection, repair, maintenance or fault diagnosis unless specifically agreed in writing.
CleanScape cannot guarantee a particular increase in solar generation following cleaning, as energy output is affected by factors including weather, sunlight, panel condition and system performance.
Section 9Commercial cleaning
Commercial cleaning services will be provided according to the quotation or service arrangement agreed with the business or organisation.
Where appropriate, the quotation may specify the areas to be cleaned, frequency, price and any additional requirements.
The customer is responsible for providing reasonable access to the premises and informing CleanScape of relevant site-specific health and safety requirements.
Any additional work outside the agreed scope may be charged separately.
Where a commercial customer requires specific insurance, risk assessment, method statement, access arrangements or other documentation, this should be agreed before work begins.
Section 10Weather and safety
CleanScape may postpone or stop work where weather or site conditions make carrying out the service unsafe or where the quality of the work would be materially affected.
This may include:
- High winds and storms
- Extreme temperatures
- Lightning
- Heavy rain
- Ice
- Other hazardous conditions
Where reasonably possible, CleanScape will contact the customer and arrange an alternative appointment.
Section 11Payment
Payment is due at the time agreed between CleanScape and the customer.
Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due on completion of the service.
For commercial customers, different payment terms may be agreed in writing.
CleanScape may suspend future services where an outstanding balance remains unpaid.
Reasonable attempts will be made to resolve overdue payments before further action is taken.
Section 12Cancellations
Customers should provide as much notice as reasonably possible if they need to cancel or rearrange an appointment.
CleanScape reserves the right to charge a reasonable cancellation fee where an appointment is cancelled at short notice and the cancellation results in a significant loss to the business, where such a charge has been communicated to the customer in advance and is permitted by law.
No cancellation charge will be applied where cancellation is required because of circumstances outside the customer’s reasonable control.
Section 13Complaints and concerns
If you are unhappy with any aspect of a CleanScape service, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
We will investigate the issue and, where appropriate, may offer to return and address a genuine cleaning issue.
Customers should give CleanScape a reasonable opportunity to inspect and, where appropriate, rectify an issue before arranging another contractor to carry out remedial work.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory consumer rights.
Section 14Damage and liability
CleanScape will take reasonable care when carrying out services.
CleanScape will not be responsible for damage resulting from pre-existing defects, deterioration, faulty installation, poor maintenance, fragile materials or conditions that were not reasonably apparent before work began.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Where CleanScape is legally responsible for damage caused by its negligence or breach of contract, liability will be dealt with in accordance with applicable UK law.
Section 15Photos and property information
CleanScape may take photographs of areas being cleaned where reasonably necessary for quoting, recording the condition of property or documenting completed work.
Photographs will not be used for marketing purposes without appropriate permission where required.
Section 16Access, keys and security
Where customers provide keys, access codes or other means of entry, CleanScape will take reasonable care of them and use them only for the agreed service.
Customers should inform CleanScape of any security requirements or alarm systems before providing access.
Section 17Changes to services
CleanScape may update or amend its services, prices and these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
The Terms & Conditions applicable to a particular booking will generally be those in force when the service was agreed, unless a change is required by law.
Section 18Ending regular services
Either CleanScape or the customer may end an ongoing regular cleaning arrangement.
Any outstanding invoices or payments for services already provided remain payable.
Where a customer wishes to stop regular cleaning, they should contact CleanScape before the next scheduled visit.
Section 19Governing law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply.
